Shane Johnston is a partner and Financial Advisor at Blue Summit Wealth Management. He has been providing investment advisory and wealth management services since 2004. Prior to Blue Summit, Shane was a registered representative and associate with Wells Fargo Private Client Services, where he co-managed an $80M+ portfolio.
Shane's career has always been purpose-driven. His passion for social and environmental justice helps drive the firm's focus in socially responsible investing, paving the way toward a more ethical and sustainable model for doing business in the 21st century.
Shane has been recognized as a hard working professional with strong ethics. He was named one of San Diego's FIVE STAR Wealth Managers for 2011, an elite award representing less than four percent of the wealth managers in the San Diego area. Prior to that, Shane was a recipient of San Diego Metropolitan's 40 Under 40 award, honoring professionals under the age of 40 who are leaders in their career and in the community. In addition, Shane is often quoted in publications such as Investment News, San Diego Union Tribune, and has been featured on ABC Channel 10 News as a professional in the financial markets.
Shane is an advisory board member of the San Diego Outdoor Education Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to making quality outdoor education available for San Diego sixth-graders. At the national level, he is an active member of the Social Investment Forum, a national nonprofit membership association dedicated to advancing the practice and growth of socially responsible investing.
